VH-TBM (cn 21171/1232) A rare 1977 Cabin View, looking forward, in TAA's near-new Stretched Boeing 727-276 VH-TBM (Named 'Albert Namatjira'). Photo taken during a 1.4 hour flight between Brisbane and Townsvillle, while passing the Whitsunday Islands. The passenger load was very low that day. VH-TBM was Delivered to TAA on 18Nov1976 ex N40124, and sold by Australian Airlines as XA-SLG on 05Oct1993. Low res 32 year old photo. Apologies for quality. |

My first flight in a TAA B727-276 was in VH-TBM, from BNE to TSV (1.4 hrs) on 27Jun1977. VH-TBH was Delivered to TAA on 20Nov73 Named 'Freeman Cobb', ex Boeing N1787B. She went to Australian Airlines on 04Aug1986 and was Sold to Memphis Group on 08Jun91 for spare parts. This is my 500th photo on Airliners.net. |
