General Electric
Boeing 747-121(A/SF)
Hong Kong - International (Chek Lap Kok) (HKG / VHHH)
China - Hong Kong, June 8, 2011
Remark
Photographer
N747GE (cn 19651/25) One of the best movements in my entire collection!! N747GE is an ex-Pan Am 747-100 testbed aircraft for General Electric although it is powered by Pratt & Whitney JT9D-7A engines. It’s one of the oldest 747s still in service with its first flight in 1970. It’s departing for Victorville via Guam and Honolulu after a month-long stay in HKG where it underwent maintenance at HAECO. N747GE will be or has been replaced by an ex-JAL 744 testbed (N747GF), sporting a new livery.

N733PA (cn 19640/6) Clipper "Air Express" in Hangar 19 for routine maintenance. This classic 747 was later renamed "Moscow Express", and "Pride of the Sea" before being retired from service in 1991. With this aircraft Pan Am inaugurated the first ever non-stop service from New York to Moscow on May 15, 1988.
