USA - Army
Boeing 767-200(AST)
Victorville - Southern California Logistics (International) (George AFB) (VCV)
USA - California, April 26, 2005
Remark
Photographer
N767BA (cn 22233/1) The first 767 built and currently parked in the desert. Converted to Airborne Surveillance Testbed. It took a Cessna 172 to take a shot of this one since VCV is not that open to the public.

N767BA (cn 22233/1) The very first 767 built now sits in California with its engines missing, but still featuring the huge cupola on the top of the fuselage - "Airborne Surveillance Testbed" it says on the side. Check out the huge ventral fins under the rear fuselage too, presumably added for stability at the same time as the cupola was added for the purpose of housing infrared sensors, and the former Indonesian Airlines 747-300 in the background too. Photographed from a low flying Cessna

Remark

N767BA (cn 22233/1) One very rare plane, it is almost impossible now to shoot this plane from the perimeter, the plane was used for surveillance, also converted from the 1st B767 built. Air to ground seems the best way to capture this rare bird. [Nikon D100]

Boeing 767-200(AST)
Orlando - International (McCoy) (MCO / KMCO)
USA - Florida, June 14, 1991
Remark
Photographer
N767BA (cn 22233/1) Fitted with special pod. This aircraft was the first B767 built. The "pod" houses sensitive optical equipment used to track missile launches of a US Army program. The aircraft has since been repainted in a more mundane scheme that deletes all indication of the original red/white/blue house colors.
