N121AE (cn 38) In September 1980, Air Express International purchased British Cargo Airlines' G-AZML after they ceased operations in June. The CL-44 behind is G-AXAA to become N122AE with Air Express. These two aircraft would perform the last scheduled trans-Atlantic service by propeller-driven aircraft.

N3951C (cn 25) Seen in basic Jamahiriya Air Transport colours, this CL-44 was ex 5A-DHJ, HB-IEN, G-ATZI and N455T. Continued to be stored at Southend till sold to Vic Air Cargo as 9Q-CQU in 8.83. To Blue Bell as N103BB in 12.85 then Trans Lloyd Cargo in 10.87 as EL-WLL, later changed to TN-AFP, 9U-BHI (used by Congolese AF) and 9Q-CTS (Skymaster Freight). Crash landed in a jungle clearing after no.1 engine fire on take-off from Mbuji Mayi, DRC on 17.2.02 and w/o

N121AE (cn 38) Previously N1002T with Flying Tiger and G-AZML with TMAC, bought in 10.80 by AEI (which changed name to Aeron International in 10.85) and continued to be seen regularly at Stansted. To Blue Bell Aviation (became Tradewinds) and stored at Greensboro, NC from early 1990s. Sold to a Zaire company in 1996 then to Trans Lloyd Cargo but remained in store till scrapped in 9.99

G-AZIN (cn 19) Two CL-44s were used briefly for passenger flights from Southend in 1972, G-AZIN flying the first with 170 pax on 28.3.72 to Ostend. G-ATZI joined in 5.72 in mixed vehicle/pax configuration, but both were handed back to TMAC (in 7.72 and 10.72 respectively) due to low volumes. After service with Express Flug, Limburg Air Cargo and British Cargo Airlines, this one (formerly Flying Tiger Line's N450T) was sold to Bayu Indonesia as PK-BAW in 6.82; broken up at Jakarta-Kemayoran in 1992

Destroyed at Kinshasa on 14.4.00 when hit by over 100 bullets after an ammunition supply caught fire in a nearby warehouse. Also damaged were CL-44 TN-235 (c/n 37, once G-AZKJ), a Caravelle, 707 and An-28
