83321 The Athens War Museum, located on Vassilissis Sophias Avenue displayed this Helldiver until 1995. Since restoration in 1997 this rare type has been on display at the Hellenic AF Museum, located at Dekelia/Tatoi. During restoration the markings have been revised, and the serial now worn has been shortened to 3321. |

NX92879 / 83589/32 (cn 83725) Commemorative Air Force Airshow 2006. Built in 1944, this aircraft flew for the US Navy from 1945 until it was declared surplus in 1948. In 1970 the Commemorative Air Force purchased the aircraft and restored it to flying condition. In 1985 the aircraft was heaviliy damaged during an emergency landing in Harlingen, TX due to an engine failure. The aircraft was again restored to flying condition and flew again in 1988. In 2001 it suffored minor damage after a ground collision. (Canon 350D + 100-400 L IS) |
