DAP Beaufighter Mk21c
Duxford (EGSU)
UK - England, April 16, 2009
Remark
Photographer
A19-144 Observer seat in the back of the Beaufighter, not exactly first class but still many would be prepared to commit severe crime just to get that seat for a flight. Not me of course ;-) Canon 50D, Tokina 11-16/2.8, F5.6, 1/50s ISO 400

Australia - Air Force
DAP Beaufighter Mk21c
Duxford (EGSU)
UK - England, July 6, 2007
Remark
Photographer
A19-144 Wonderful twin-engined fighter under restoration of The Fighter Collection at Duxford. Aircraft is restored from parts of two wreckaged Beaufighters - A19-144 (RAF serial JM135) and A19-148 (RAF serial JL946) - an the tail section of the third - A19-36. First two Beaufighters crashlanded at Drysdale Airfield in Western Australia in January 1944. Landed wheels-up alongside the main strip after returning from a raid over Timor Island. In 1981 were there salvaged and transported to the first time to Sydney.

Australia - Air Force
DAP Beaufighter Mk21c
Duxford (EGSU)
UK - England, July 23, 2006
Remark
Photographer
A19-144 The most ambitious restoration yet by The Fighter Collection is this incredible Bristol Beaufighter. The skilled workforce have already invested many years in her rebuild, using several ex-Royal Australian Air Force airframes. Their meticulous attention to detail is always a joy to enjoy at Duxford and we're finally seeing the wonderful Beaufighter coming together. I can't wait to hear the pair of 14-cylinder air-cooled Bristol Hercules radials fire up in the future...

DAP Beaufighter Mk21c
Duxford (EGSU)
UK - England, September 30, 2004
Remark
Photographer
A19-144 The restoration of this aircraft is well under way. The main fuselage is a composite of A19-144 (JM135) & A19-148 (JL946) which were both Mk.XI aircraft. The cockpit section is from an Australian built aircraft, the identity of which is unknown.
