A4-264 / 264 (cn 264) Low res fish-eye lens 'window view' of the Markham River Valley - west of Lae, approaching Nadzab Airfield. Photo taken 'in flight' between Lae Airport and Mt Hagen Airport, aboard RAAF 38Sqn Det A Caribou A4-264 (based at Port Moresby). The port side Pratt and Whitney 1450HP R-2000 Twin Row Wasp engine is distorted in this 'wide angle' view. (No port noise complaint!) A4-264 later crashed at Camden NSW, on 04July1986. Apologies for quality of this 34-year-old photo. |
