42-86786 Crashed on the 16th of April 1944 in Papua New Guinea. It was recovered in 1984 and by 1996 was completely restored in time for the 50th Anniversary of VJ Day. She was placed on display in King George Square in Brisbane as part of the week of rememberance. The aircraft wears the restored original markings of Hell 'N Pelican which belonged to 388th Squadron, 312th Bomb Group.
