During this period Air Kruise were based at Ferryfield Airport and being owned by the British Aviation Services Group, who also owned Silver City Airways. This C-53D "Skytrooper" was built in 1943 for the USAAF as 42-68830, and went overseas on deployment. After the war this bird started its civilian career as NC45366. After having flown for several different companies, this aircraft was donated to the Commemorative Air Force in Midland,TX and assigned to the Inland Empire Wing in Riverside,CA.
