Douglas WB-66D Destroyer
Warner Robins - Robins AFB (WRB / KWRB)
USA - Georgia, June 19, 2005
Remark
Photographer
55-0392 (cn 45024) The WB-66D was the final production version of the Destroyer. It was a dedicated 5-seat weather reconnaissance aircraft, carrying a crew of five. The WB-66D was essentially identical to the RB-66C--it retained the flight-refueling probe and the tail gun of the earlier versions along with the forward cockpit carrying the pilot, navigator and gunner. However, it had no provision for bombs or cameras. Must have been a heck of a landing last time :-)

Douglas WB-66D Destroyer
Tucson - Davis-Monthan AFB (DMA / KDMA)
USA - Arizona, February 14, 1987
Remark
Photographer
55-0395 / JN (cn 45027) A relatively rare aircraft these days, this Douglas WB-66D Destroyer was preserved in the Pima Air & Space Museum in February 1987. She appears to retain her original markings, the "JN" code denoting ownership by the Shaw AFB based 39th TEWTS when she was in service. She was most likely retired in the early 70's.
