A-515 (cn 018) Twenty-four Pucaras were dispatched to the Falklands during the conflict in 1982, of which five survived in reasonable condition. This example was selected for performance evaluation trials and shipped back to the UK for testing by the A&AEE (for which she was allocated the serial ZD485). In 1983 she was transferred to the RAF Museum at Cosford where she is now on display in the 'War Planes' hangar. |

A-515 / V (cn 018) The Pucara was designed in the 1960s with deliveries between 1976-1988 and 108 made. Named after a type of stone fortress built by early South Americans, its designed to attack lightly-armed insurgents posing threat to Argentina's military government. However, against a heavily-armed British force during the 1982 Falklands conflict, it was less than effective. This example was captured during the conflict. On display in the War Planes hangar at RAF Museum, Cosford (Canon 50D + 10-20 EX DC HSM) |
