XG797 / 277 (cn F9365) Built in 1957 as an AS4 she then joined 810 NAS aboard HMS Centaur. Subsequently converted to ECM6 standard in 1963 and then used as an instructional airframe from 1967. After retirement she arrived at Duxford during 1973.

XG797 / 277 (cn F9365) Gannet XG797 was built as AS.4 and first flew on 8 March 1957. Since April this year began operated by Royal Navy with No 810 Naval Squadron a then loan to 700 NAS at Yeovilton and later Culdrose. In late 1963 she was converted to an ECM.6 version and comleted was in March 1965. Assigned was to No 831 NAS at RAF Watton from May 1965, but shortly in June 1966 was retired to ground for instructional use at Arbroath, the RN Apprentice School. But in May 1967 was in the air again with NASU and then 849 HQ Flight at Brawdy. Transported to Duxford was in May 1972 and presently displayed in No 831 NAS marking.
