NC8407 (cn 4-AT-69) It was an absolute amazing experience to fly in this 1929 Ford Tri-Motor, a type seldom seen where I live. The whole Airventure experience is already overwhelming for a first-timer, but then hearing that you will fly in this machine... Wow. I quickly secured a window seat for the short sightseeing flight and this was the view I was treated to just after departure. Aircraft as far as the eye can see! The flight also took us over the seaplane base, which was quite cool as well. Many thanks to the Radiers! |

NC8407 (cn 4-AT-69) One of only 8 airworthy Trimotors in the world today. This one is based at the EAA AirVenture Museum in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, USA and tours the United States, performing at various airshows. A real pleasure to see one up close! |

NC8407 (cn 4-AT-69) EAA's 1929 Ford Trimotor was in the St. Louis area for several days giving rides and "posing" for photos. I took a ride myself, and it was worth every penny!! Here we are flying over the Sauget, Illinois area looking southwest toward the Mississippi River and beyond. Nikon D200 |

NC8407 (cn 4-AT-69) EAA's 1929 Ford Trimotor was at the St. Louis Downtown Airport for 3 days, offering rides to the public. I snapped this shot about 15 minutes before going up for a most memorable ride myself. It was worth every penny!!! Nikon D200 |
