A84-*** An RAAF Canberra flies 'low and slow' over the crowd at the 1965 Laverton Air Display, with landing gear and flaps down. This aircraft has wing Roundels with circular Red centres, which pre-date those with Red Kangaroos. (Flight demonstrations over crowds no longer occur, as a consequence of the Frecce Tricolori crash at Ramstein AB in Germany.) This photo was taken by school friend Peter Akers, and is uploaded with permission. Low Res photo. |
