Australia - Air Force
General Dynamics RF-111C Aardvark
Off-Airport - Port Adelaide
Australia - South Australia, June 23, 2013
Remark
Photographer
A8-134 / 134 (cn D1-10) South Australian Aviation Museum - This is a new acquisition for the Museum, This General Dynamics F111 "Pig" is on load from the Royal Australian Air Force. Only a select few museums in Australian were successful in securing this, now retired, platform, having to meet stringent security requirements. It will certainly be a draw card for the museum and surely will rekindle interest with return visitors to the museum.

A8-143 (cn D1-19) Memorable for the first UK demonstration of the spectacular dump-and-burn routine during the Finningley RAF Review - I can remember the heat. Became a favourite feature of Australian air shows till the F-111's eventual withdrawal in Dec 2010

Remark
Photographer
A8-126 (cn D1-02) The Pig's very last Dump & Burn performed during the final handling display at the RAAF's F-111 retirement ceremony. I and many others will miss seeing our Pigs in the sky. No other fast jet can match its grace and beauty.
