Photographer
ZK459 / X (cn BY-36) One of a pair of King Airs from 45 (Reserve) Sqn at RAF Cranwell is seen here at low level flying through the Bwlch Oerddrws in the Mach Loop. The red fuselage stripe identifies it as a King Air 200GT, a version with a glass cockpit (computer screen instrument panels), one of three such aircraft added to the 45 Sqn fleet by Serco following a contract amendment to upgrade the squadron’s training capacity to prepare pilots for more modern types such as the C-130J, Sentinel and C-17.
