G-KAXF / N-294 (cn S4/U/3361) This Hunter was built in version F.6 at Coventry in 1956. First-time operated by No. 247 Squadron in 1957 registered XF515 and later that year was assigned to 43 Squadron based at RAF Leuchars. In 1970s was converted to F.6A and operated by OCU unit at RAF Brawdy. In 1995 was retired, but in 1998 in 43 Squadron markings under the civil registration G-KAXF flew again. Presently operated in RNethAF colours as N-294 from Leeuwarden Airbase. |
