She sits propless and confined to the apron ever since Emerald Airways air opperators certificate was revoked in May 2006 when they went in to liquidation. This old bird, built in 1966 having also opperated for British Airways, Dan-Air London, and the Civil Aviation Authoriy, sits propless and confined to a remote parking area at the end of runway 25 since Emerald Air's air opperators certificate was revoked in May 2006 and the company went in to liquidation. I would be taking off on runway 25 adjacent to this bird on my first flying lesson in G-BBEF 20 minutes later (Canon 350D + Sigma 50-500 EX APO DG) |
