Hawker Siddeley Hawk T1A (HS-1182)
Valley (EGOV)
UK - Wales, August 21, 2014
Remark
Photographer
XX158 / 158 (cn 004/312004) Marked as the personal aircraft of 208 Sqn’s Deputy OC of 'A’ Flight, Flt Lt Bruce Poole, this Hawk T.1 is seen here lifting off from RAF Valley’s Runway 19 during the Valley Aviation Society Enthusiasts’ Day on an IDT (International Defence Training) sortie. 208 Sqn was due for disbandment when 4 Sqn stood up with the Hawk T.2 but in the event was retained to provide capacity to train Royal Saudi Air Force students in support of BAE Systems’ export of the Typhoon to the kingdom.

Hawker Siddeley Hawk T1A (HS-1182)
Blackpool - Squires Gate (BLK / EGNH)
UK - England, August 10, 2014
Remark
Photographer
XX219 (cn 055/312055) The world famous Red Arrows are in town for the Blackpool Airshow 2014 putting on their usual spectacular show. It's a pity the weather wasn't great but they certainly brightened up a gloomy sky with their precision airmanship. Each Hawk wears the special tail livery for their 50th display season (Canon 50D + Sigma 50-500 EX APO DG)

Valley (EGOV)

Remark
Photographer
XX154 (cn 001/312001) I saw the very first Hawker Siddeley Hawk make its public debut at Farnborough less than a month after its first flight by Duncan Simpson on 21st August 1974; that same aircraft remains in service and is now with the Empire Test Pilots’ School at Boscombe Down. It is seen here at the Valley Aviation Society Enthusiasts’ Day at Valley forty years to the day after its first flight. The type entered service with the RAF here at Valley in 1976 and has served with the Red Arrows since 1979.
