LQ-ZBD (cn 4043) The sign behind the plane says "National Air Museum"... perhaps, some authorities should explain why a plane so valuable is being exposed in these conditions. |

D-ASUI (cn 5498) Frantic rescue actions at crashed Ju-52 named "Hans Berr". The only seven month old plane crashed just a short time before that picture was taken in the summit region of the Moritzberg (603m), a mountain close to the town of Lauf an der Pegnitz. The pilot of the civil plane lost the orientation due to heavy snow and low visibility during the approach to former Nuremberg airport Marienberg 15km to the west. Four people out of 16 passengers and crew were killed in the accident. The picture was taken by my grandfather. |

LQ-ZBD (cn 4043) A momentary break on the heavy rain allowed me to go outdoors and picture this old beauty. Unfortunately, since she was moved from AEP to MOR more than a decade ago, Tante Ju hasn’t recovered her good shape. Manufactured in 1934 by Junkers Flugzeug und Motorenwerke AG in Dessau, Germany, this Ju-52 was one out of 15 purchased by Argentina before World War II. They remained in active service until 1953. |

OH-ALL (cn 5494) Finnair photo. Uploaded with permission. This is one of several photos received from Finnair. They were disposing of old photos and I was asked if I want them.Otherwise they would go to the waste bin. How could I turn down an offer like that? I was also told that that I could publish them as long as it was mentioned that they originate from Finnair |
