60-0289 (cn 113) At the New England Air Museum. By substituting a gas turbine engine for the reciprocating engine of the earlier model, and mounting it above the cabin, it was possible to carry up to 10 passengers in the space previously occupied by the engine. |

62-4535 (cn 161) Formerly operated by Det.2, 40th ARRS at RAF Woodbridge, the story is that this Kaman HH-43B Huskie was sold to a scrap metal merchant who gave it to his young daughter as a sort of "Wendy House"! She (the helo!) was rescued by the Midlands Air Museum and ever-so-slowly she is being restored to display condition. As this photograph shows there is clearly some distance to go but the process has started. |

59-1583 (cn 64) When photographed in the Pima Air & Space Museum in 1987 there was no clue regarding the fate in store for USAF 59-1583. Although donated to the Museum she was never restored but was sold on to become N100PL and was operated by Pro-Lift, Inc, then Moseley Aviation Inc. Between 1991 and 1994 she suffered damage in four incidents, two resulting in NTSB reports. In September 1999 she was destroyed when she collided with terrain near Phoenix, AZ. sadly resulting in two crew fatalities. |
