66-0192 (cn 300-6218) Close-up view of the tail fin, tailplane (and clamshell cargo door) of USAF Military Airlift Command C-141B 66-0192 (with grey/white paintscheme) at Canberra Airport in 1984. (It took an Airshow to break the drought!) This aircraft was subject of a Hijack attempt in Vietnam, and finished up in AMARC (DMA) in an all grey paint scheme. The RAAF Fairbairn Duty Crew affixed a Dayglow Orange RAAF Kangaroo to visiting aircraft, usually high on the fin. (Note the pivoting tailplane atop the fin.) Apologies for the quality of this 25 year old photo. |
