52-3412 (cn 4330) One more remembrance photo of the radar pickets that extended the radar coverage of the DEW line to cover the gap over the Atlantic. It is really amazinf that these planes soldiered on for so long and that when this photo was taken, they still had two more years of service left. |

55-0122 (cn 4395) Taxying down runway 20/02 and preparing to take off to the north. This is one of those photos that so well show the changes in the vegetation around the airport. Who would have thought that this lavabased rocky runway should could sprout the grass that is growing there today. I will be adding some more photos of this the last EC-121T to leave Keflavik in the near future. |

53-0548 (cn 4363) One of two EC-121s that I photographed from the roof of hangar 885 which now seems only fit for tearing down for steel reclamation. If so, it will be a big landmark removal on the field. |

52-3412 (cn 4330) A sight for sore eyes. These Super Constellations are among the sleekest and most beautiful aircraft ever built and the sound of the four 3200 horsepower Wright R-3350 18 cylinder radials was just as beautful. You can still see a few in museums and fewer are still flying. |

55-0122 (cn 4395) Taken in bad light the day before 122, the last operational EC-121T at Keflavik left for the USA. At this time it had some graffiti like TWA and the 57th FIS checkerboard added to the ariframe. Nobody was going to object since the plane was going to go straight to the boneyard. |
