149798 / QB-798 (cn 282-3680) In October 1963 this anonymous looking C-130 accomplished the amazing feat of performing 29 touch and go's, 21 unarrested full stop landings and 21 unassisted takeoffs from the aircraft carrier USS Forestal (CV-59). While these tests proved it could be done, no other C-130 has ever landed on an aircraft carrier. |
