Later converted to S-3B, this aircraft was the first S-3 in history to operationally launch the ADM-141 Tactical Air Launched Decoy (TALD) with VS-38 on January 11th, 1991. On January 18th, 1991, it was first to launch a TALD in combat, during Operation Desert Storm. Retired to AMARC Davis-Monthan AFB on 19.8.04 with inventory number AN2S0064, struck Off Charge 28.2.05, but still there in July 2007. |
