420430 / 3UAK (cn 420430) 'Hornisse' means 'Hornet' and looks somewhat like the Hornet derivative of the DH Mosquito. Flew with the RAF's assessment unit at Farnborough after WW11 as TF209. Seen here at the Aerospace Museum at RAF Cosford.

420430 / 3U+CC A versatile Luftwaffe light bomber, fighter & reconnaisance aircraft. The two Daimler-Benz V12 engines dominate the appearance, but the real innovation were the 13mm cannons mounted either side of the fuselage. These were remotely electrically controlled by the bomber, using a series of mirrors to aim. Quite successful at shooting down bombers for a while, it was ultimately outclassed by the squadrons of true allied fighter escorts. This example captured at Vaerløse in Denmark and later flown by the RAF.
