Between may - november 2003 was 41. slt detached at 34. zSpecL (special AFB) in Pardubice for exclusion home base in Caslav due to repair and modernization of RWY, TWY´s and aprons. Note the attrited original grey paint behind cabin and on back of fuselage except for basic silver color. In 2003 had Mig times over already 28 years in duty! (Scan from 35 mm negative film) |

Under cabin is black notice: "Posledni MiG-21 opraveny v LOK" (Last MiG-21 repaired in Aircraft service Kbely) reminiscent, that this Fishbed was in second half of 90´s last from long line overhauled Mig´s in Praha-Kbely. 2500 (cn 96002500) "Tiger from Caslav" in anniversary marking to occasion of 45 years fighter air force at Caslav AFB during Open day of 23rd helicopter air force base Prerov. This aircraft was delivered to former Czechoslovakia in 1975 and his last unit, where he served was since December 2003 the 211. tl. (211th tactical squadron) in Caslav. On May 28th flown last sortie to static display in Prerov, there was preserved and stored. |
