Croatia - Air Force
Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21bis
Zagreb - Pleso (ZAG / LDZA)
Croatia, May 5, 2014
Remark
Photographer
131 Finally out and about on a sunny and clear day, 131 is seen rumbling in for landing on RWY 05 after its second ever flight from Croatian soil. With two more test sorties to go, the jet will eventually become the first of the CroAF's "new" MiGs to achieve operational status, and will likely replace one of the two tired machines of the QRA pair.

Remark
Photographer
131 Quite an unusual sight after two decades of colorful camo schemes, "Knight 96" is seen gliding in for landing at the end of its first post-assembly flight. A momentous occasion for the locals, 131 is the first of the CroAF's five "new" MiGs, originally Yemeni machines sourced from the Ukraine. Having been overhauled, flight tested - and upgraded with the Garmin GNS430 GPS and Sandel SN3500 EHSI - they were then disassembled and trucked over to Zagreb.
