Y2-176 (cn 3685) This aircraft is a long-term restoration project for the Imperial War Museum and is totally original. It was recovered from Taroa in the Marshall Islands in 1991 having been ditched and recovered. It had been a part of the 252nd Japanese Naval Air Group that had been based there in 1942 and 1943, Though badly corroded and with its engine missing it seems somehow poignant in that state |

N712Z / X-133 (cn 3869) Dramatic start-up of the Zero, to participate in the WWII flight demo, as part Aviation Nation 2007 Heritage to Horizons - Commemorating 60 Years of Air and Space Power. Very impressive line-up of warbirds. The obsession for detail from the owners is not only illustrated by the immaculate condition of the aircraft, but is also demonstrated in this case by the pilot wearing the rising sun headband. |

NX712Z / X-133 (cn 3869) What a sight, as these two Warbirds square off against each other in a flyby at the '05 "Wings over Gillespie" Airshow. The green Zero is one of the last flying examples in the world, and is immaculately restored and maintained. The Grumman Hellcat (N1078Z) is just a beauty and a huge crowd-pleaser. |
