3-7020 Tigers of Vahdati Air Base. Captain Mehdi Vahdati (Douglas C-47A flight instructor) and Major Ahmad Vahdati (2nd Fighter Squadron P-47D pilot) were killed in two different accidents in Mehrabad and near Ghale Morghi airports in early 1950`s. Mohammad-Reza Pahlavi last Shah of Iran accepted IIAF HQ request regarding to choose "Vahdati" as name of 2nd Tactical Base of IIAF on 11th March 1961 (21st Esfand 1339) to honor Vahdati brothers in recognition of their valuable services in IIAF.

3-7013B 3-7013B has long history in Iran, it was served at 43rd TFS at Dezful Air base from mid of 1970`s until first years of 1980`s. before the Islamic Revolution at 1979, it was used along with other F-5Bs at 43rd TFS for IIAF`s F-5 pilots trainings; after the revolution by establishing the 85th TFS Advanced training squadron at 8th TFB Isfahan remain F-5Bs were transferred to their new home during mid of 1980`s. today 3-7013 trains Iranian Fighter pilots ,by the way this grandfather has around 40 years old!
