VH-DIE / 15 (cn 3804) The appropriately-registered, appropriately-named 'Carpe Diem' backtracking on Runway 14 after arriving at the Wide Bay Internationa Airshow where it gave it's usual scintillating performances in the hands of Richard McDonald. The aircraft is actually a Polish-built, ex-Polish Air Force SBLim-2 and was registered in Australia on 18 January 1991. |

VH-EKI / 126 (cn 1A10926) This ex-Polish Air Force aircraft was imported into Australia and stored at Bankstown from 1993 to 1995. Registered VH-EKI on 4 April 1995, it made its first post-restoration flight the following year on 17 November 1996. It was operated on warbird adventure flights for some years and damaged on landing at Camden on 28 December 1997. Repaired, it flew on until at least 2005 before being 'retired' to Bathurst, along with sister-ship VH-REH. It certainly looks a bit tattier these days than it used to! |

VH-REH / 807 (cn 1A08007) It's funny what you find just sitting around at country aerodromes! This former Polish Air Force aircraft arrived in Australia and was stored, disassembled, at Bankstown in 1994-5. It was registered VH-REH(6) on 4 April 1995. I've never seen it before and by the look of it, it doesn't fly very often. |
