The A&AEE Valetta taxies in as crew ferry for Beverley XB261 which had just arrived for the Historic Aircraft Museum. Del. 3.5.61, s.o.c. 10.4.72 to Gatow fire dump and survived into the late 70s. Moormanair DC-3 PH-MOA visible on dump behind - engine failure on take-off and crash-landing after turning back four months earlier carrying Ajax football fans

Remark
Photographer
WJ*** With kind permission of Allan Jenkins. RAF Valletta that flew down from Changi regularly to test and calibrate a 'Eureka/Rebecca' instillation. An ancient British type of DME I am told. Part of the registration can be seen under the wing.
