PH-VI* Picture taken by my father Theo Mestrum Sr. His account: I took this photograph on a business trip to Sweden some forty years ago between Amsterdam and Stockholm. As I said before, the Viscount had big windows and gave ample opportunity to position your camera for a good shot. Unfortunately the picture came back smudgy from the lab, as did the negative.

EI-APD (cn 174) As a schoolboy living near the old Heston Airfield, we would often see Aer Lingus DC-3's and Viscounts banking tightly on a visual approach to Heathrow's runway 28R, to save a few minutes on the flight from Dublin.

EI-AOI (cn 179) As the seaborne and hovercraft car ferries bit into the market BAF's operations shifted to regional passenger and freight and lease charter. The Carvair nose section on the left was never used in a conversion of a DC-4, I believe.
