Westland WS-61 Sea King ASaC7
Culdrose (EGDR)
UK - England, July 3, 2013
Remark
Photographer
XV707 / 84 (cn WA678) Both Royal Navy Sea King variants are seen in this shot of the flight-line at RNAS Culdrose. The Mk.7 in the foreground has been in service since the 'seventies and was one of a number converted to the airborne early warning role during the Falklands conflict. The radar dish mounted on the starboard side of the fuselage hinges downwards in flight, when its flexible radome inflates.
