G-BBDG (cn 202/13523) The central fuselage section of the first production Concorde, awaiting re-assembly for display here at the Brooklands museum. More Concorde fabrication was done here than any other location, hence the importance of a Concorde amongst the excellent collection. Certainly glad I brought my graduated ND filters today! |

G-BBDG (cn 202/13523) Quite a contrast between the (truncated) nose of the Concorde and the forward section of the Vickers Viscount (XT575). Both aircraft were extensively fabricated here at Brooklands. The back end of the Viscount is lost forever, but the rest of the first production Concorde is here, scattered around the site in boxes, crates and piles of bits! Soon she'll be rebuilt - I hope they've got the instructions! :-) |

G-BBDG (cn 202/13523) Nose and tail sections of the most elusive Concorde of them all - the very first production aircraft, she was in "secret" storage at Bristol-Filton for thirty years. Finally she can be admired by the public. Soon to be reassembled and preserved here at the Brooklands museum. |
