BEA - British European Airways
Hawker Siddeley HS-121 Trident 3B
Manchester - International (Ringway) (MAN / EGCC)
UK - England, August 31, 2014
Remark
Photographer
G-AWZK (cn 2312) The Manchester Airport Runway Viewing Park’s Trident has been a popular exhibit since it was formally opened in 2007 by former pilot of the aircraft Captain Toby Angus. Following retirement from BA it 1985 it was used at Heathrow for tug training and other duties, and had its wings clipped by 15 feet each to minimise storage space, although the tips were refitted with navigation lights. (Thanks to Paul Markman for suggesting this photograph when he learned that I had a 10-22mm lens.)
