G-SIXT (cn 2816056) This has got to be one of the smartest Warrior paint schemes around. It is a shame British Airways have not painted one of their big jets into the BOAC livery as a retro special. This Warrior wears the BEA colour scheme on the starboard side. |

G-APDB (cn 06403) A rare look inside the cockpit of this historic aircraft. Havind made it's maiden flight in July 1958, the aircraft was delivered to BOAC soon after before making history on 4th October 1958 as the first jet-powered airline flight from New York to London. Later in her life she flew for Malaysia Singapore Airlines and Dan Air, before finally coming to rest here 1974 having clocked up 36,269 hours which was the most hours of any Comet built. Unfortunately it was very dark in here, taken handheld at 1 second. |

G-ASGH (cn 858) A front row view of this BOAC Super VC10 as the ground crew ready her for another long haul flight out of JFK. A TWA Convair 880 taxis in to the gates in the distance. Note the gantry used to service the rear galley as a means of avoiding the two paired starboard RR 43D Conways. On the lower left, the flight engineer begins his pre-flight ground checks. GH was used by BOAC/BA for 16 years, before being withdrawn in 1981; then used by the RAF for spares, until finally broken up in 1987. |

G-ARVM (cn 815) Off to Baghdad on a gloomy February morning from 28L. Magically quiet in here but no doubt the locals were being blasted with the awesome crackle of four Conways. Terminal 3 was pretty quiet in those days! |

N888WA (cn 06424) A trip through time, at the Museum of Flight Restoration Center, to the front office of a Dehavilland Comet. Though painted in BOAC colors in the mid-1980s, this aircraft actually served almost its entire career with Mexicana (as XA-NAR, hence the plate on the controls). |
