Braniff International Airlines
Boeing 727-225/Adv
Miami - International (Wilcox Field / 36th Street / Pan American Field) (MIA / KMIA)
USA - Florida, August 24, 1992
Remark
Photographer
N8859E / 410 (cn 20621/904) The sign message is almost appropriate for this scenario. Ex-Eastern and Pan Am. This photo was taken several hours after Hurricane Andrew devastated the southern part of Dade County. High winds at MIA blew this bird into the canal and it never flew again. It was scrapped in 1996 at MIA.

Braniff International Airlines
Boeing 727-225/Adv
Orlando - International (McCoy) (MCO / KMCO)
USA - Florida, June 1, 1992
Remark
Photographer
N8856E / 407 (cn 20618/901) Although this former Eastern Air Lines 727 still looks smart in its blue Braniff colours, the paint job is clearly starting to wear off. Perhaps an ominous sign, because only a month later the aircraft was withdrawn from service and stored, first at Mojave and later at Miami. It was completely broken up there during 1998.

Braniff International Airlines
Boeing 727-225/Adv
Miami - International (Wilcox Field / 36th Street / Pan American Field) (MIA / KMIA)
USA - Florida, October 1992
Remark
Photographer
N8859E (cn 20621/904) This "ultra" coloured Braniff International 727, still wearing its Eastern Airlines registration, was a victim of a hurricane that hit Miami Airport earlier in 1992, as the large hole in the nose demonstrates - the radome looks just like a broken egg shell. She never flew again as a result of a combination of the damage and Braniff's second failure, and was cut up in Miami some years later
