Ecuatoriana
Douglas UC-67 Dragon (B-23)
Quito - Mariscal Sucre (UIO / SEQU) (closed)
Ecuador, August 12, 2014
Remark
Photographer
HC-APV (cn 2717) "Museo Aeronautico de la Fuerza Aerea Ecuatoriana" Ex USAAC 39-0031, NC51436, N400W and N4000W. The B-23 was designed as a twin-engined medium bomber but due to a lack of performance compared to other bombers of that time like e.g. the B-25, it was produced in small numbers only and was never used in combat abroad. The displayed aircraft went to US civilian operators after WWII and came to Ecuador in 1968. [Nikon D800 / AF-S Nikkor 28-300mm]

Ecuatoriana
McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30
Quito - Mariscal Sucre / Tababela (UIO / SEQM)
Ecuador, August 1992
Remark
Photographer
HC-BKO / FAE46575 (cn 46575/57) During the early 90s, Ecuatoriana's DC-10 used to go back and forth between Quito/Guayaquil and New York JFK, either non-stop or through Panama or Miami. I believe it did also a once a week rotation to Los Angeles via Mexico City.

HC-BVT / N914PG (cn 22603/1732) Previously registered LV-OLN with Aerolineas Argentinas and HC-BVT, which is still on the nosewheel door. The current registration is only handwritten on the back. What a nice surprise it was to find this old 727 in Tucson.
