But instead of lining up on the runway the crew accidently turned into the parallel taxiway (only 1200m long) and speeded up. Last summer, Air Mauritius wet-leased DC-8F from African International Airways to operate cargo services when their passenger flights were suspended due to SARS. It was the first time to spot DC-8 here at CLK (Photo ID: 379077). Actually, I missed the chance of spotting this Gabon Government's DC-8 last year, luckily it visited Hong Kong again this summer. On the visit this DC-8-73 was accompanied by another DC-8-72 registered as HB-IGH. The same combination has visited Hong Kong in September last year, but I could only saw one of them leaving when I was waiting at the bus-stop.
