5B-DBI (cn 30807/829) Taking to the skies from runway 24L. This airline no-longer graces our skies following the tragic events of flight 552 on 14th August 2005 after her sister aircraft, 5B-DBY crashed near Grammatiko, Greece while onroute to Athens with the loss of 121 lives due to the cabin presurisation system not being set to auto. The airline was rebranded Ajet and formally ceased trading on 6th November 2007, although flight operations ceased on 6th November 2006 as a result of financial difficulties and legal battles following the crash. This aircraft now operates for Sun Express as TC-SUV (Canon 350D + 75-300 IS USM) |

5B-DBY (cn 29099/2982) On short finals runway 22 coming in from Prague via Athens. Sadly crashed two days later operating same flight. Soon after this landing departed to Bucharest. On the 13th, operated the morming flight to Luton and evening flight to Heathrow arriving back home in the early morning of the 14th. Later on, at 09:00 GMT+2 departed for the last time to operate the flight HCY522. |
