4-*** This silver Skywagon is one of 49 delivered U-17As to Imperial Iranian Army Aviation in 1964. Next airplane is former Mohammad Alam Rockwell Commander 500S Shrike with EP-MAA registeration (This airplane was scrapped in summer of 2012), other airplane is a North American AT-6D Texan,which was one of 30 MAP supplied ones for IIAF in 1949, and the last one is one of eight delivered L-20B to IIAF in 1953, it was formerly used by General "Nader Djahanbani", one of best IIAF commanders. |

6-4025 This U-17A is one of four remaining airworthy U-17As in service of IRIAA. In early 2000`s , IRIAA re-established its fixed wing basic training squadron with six survived U-17As in its 5th Support Base at Ghale Morghi airport. they were operated for target towing roles too. they all received new civil C/Ss with different artworks of some animals such as Whale, Goose, Eagle , and Dolphin instead their previous three tone desert camouflage. |

5-4054 (cn P-006/B-691/CD-10) Built in 1972. Iran lost at least 8 Chinooks during the 1980-1988 war with Iraq. On one fateful day, 15 July 1983, an Iraqi Mirage F-1 destroyed three Iranian CH-47s flying low to deliver marines to a front line. |

5-4083 (cn P-037/B-772/CD-33) Built in 1976 . Equipped with a gyro stabilised camera. The IIAA took delivery of 70 CH-47Cs from Elicotteri Meridionali during the period of 1972-1976. The serial numbers were 5-4050 through 5-4119. In late 1978, Iran placed an order for an additional 50 helicopters with Elicotteri Meridionali, but that order was cancelled immediately after the Islamic Revolution. |
