G-BVVK (cn 666) One of the two Loganair Twin Otters that serve the Hebrides is seen here on Traigh Mhor beach after its seventy-minute flight from Glasgow, a wonderfully informal operation by today’s standards, with the flight deck door open all the away and the First Officer stepping over the Captain’s sandwiches to do the safety announcements. Cruise was at 140kt at 6500ft. This Otter was previously with Wideroe as LN-BEZ, and still bears Norwegian signage in the cabin. |

G-BLDV (cn 2179) After completing the worlds shortest commercial service (as outlined in the Guinness World Records) from Westray to Papa Westray, wearing the new Highland Park livery. Scheduled flight time is just 2 minutes, our flight was only 1:25 due to strong tailwind. |

G-BBNL (cn 350(G)) Registered by BN in 10.73 and accepted by Loganair just 3 months before this shot with Dundee's fine architecture in the background. I've been able to follow this Trislander's career after sale to Colombia in 2.80 - see next upload |

G-BVVK (cn 666) This Loganair Twin Otter is seen here unloading from its previous flight before turning round and departing for the Hebridean island of Barra as Flight BE6855. The airport surface at Barra is the sand of Traigh Mhor beach, so flights are dependent on tides. The Captain told me that despite the remote north Atlantic location, flights are rarely cancelled because of weather and crews can land in winds of up to 70 knots, although current regulations allow for only 50. That’s still quite a wind. |

G-GNTB (cn 340A-082) Having spent the night on the ramp at Dalcross, this 340 is seen here about to board passengers for the 0720 Flight BA8951 to Stornaway. The Air Discount Scheme decal on the rear fuselage refers to a scheme whereby residents of the Scottish highlands and islands qualify for a 40% reduction in fares. NTB was delivered new in 1987 to Crossair of Switzerland registered HB-AHL, and was leased to Aurigny and Business Air of Aberdeen before joining Loganair in December 2003. |
