Remark
Photographer
N703NA (cn 0002) Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center. The XV-15 programs was launched by NASA in 1971 to prove the tiltrotor design and explore the operational flight envelope for military and civil applications. In 1973 Bell was awarded a contract to build 2 aircraft. The first Bell XV-15 "N702NA" flew in 1977 and the second aircraft "N703NA" flew in 1979. Technology developed for the XV-15 program was later used in the V-22 Osprey. The first XV-15 crashed at Bell in 1992. (Canon 350D + 17-55 IS + 430EX)
