N17318 (cn 1933) Originally TWA NC17318, this aircraft was commandeered by the USAAF on Jun 8, 1942 to support the war effort. Returned to TWA as NC17318 Jul 1943. Later went to LAAS in Sep 1952, California Central Airlines in Jan 1954, North Central in April 1956, and finally to the Douglas Flying Club in Jun 1968. Registration was canceled in 1975, remaining N17318 throughout its history. Photo taken by my great uncle and scanned from a slide. |

Converted to a freighter, registered C-GTAP, and joined Time Air in 1990. Later joined Canair Cargo, and ultimately joined Nolinor in 1996, where it continues to fly today.
