F-WWOW (cn 001) "Airbus 104" departing for Melbourne. Rumour has it that the UPS MD-11 that is visible in the background taxied down Alpha just to see the A380 departing - after it left they did notify ATC that they needed to return to the cargo apron, without citing a reason - however that seems highly unlikely. F-WWOW (cn 001) Pure Inspiration, to think man kind created such a machine. I still remember when the mock-up was shown on TV some years ago...this is a moment i waited so long for. A puff of smoke and 560,000KG of advanced engineering lands .WOWW! My favourite and most ejoyable shot to date. Dedicated to J.Carden. |

F-WWOW (cn 001) A talking point between some spotters is the size of the Airbus engines, but I think those Trent 900's speak for themselves. Also note the new design feature of the intake cowling on all 4 engines. And the 380 only has two reversers on the number 2 and 3 engines. |

F-WWOW (cn 001) This photo is taken from the very end of the main deck, the cabin looks very wide and spacious from the very end. Tanks and seats on each side. Looks like Airbus also carries some "very nice" cargo on the test flights. [Nikon D2x, Nikkor 10.5mm f2.8/G ED DX] |

F-WWOW (cn 001) Overview detail of the front half of this amazing airliner only a couple minutes after it became the first A380 to touch down in Sydney. The new large Qantas titles fit nicely between the two rows of windows. Nice size comparison with the guys on the ground too! Taken from helicopter VH-ZMF. [Canon EOS 20D] |
