VH-XBA (cn 17696/29) Now that she is safely in Australia, having flown from Southend to Sydney over the US, this picture can be shown. We see here the starboard side mains, lit nicely in the morning sun. Looking a bit aft, and directly underneath, one can see a bucket, which was catching the Jet-A streaming out of the centre-line tank. This seemed to be a problem that occurred in the glove area in the #2 main tank, not serious enough to ground the bird, so she left us, bound for history. |

VH-XBA (cn 17696/29) Cockpit shot of this older grand dame. I especially like the sticker on the left seat's secondary AH...it reads "inoperative". This apparently failed between Southend and KLAX...no worries said the captain, we have many more backups. Thanks for the tour... |
