VH-AES / 54 (cn 6021) There's always more intersting things to see at an airshow, even from the cockpit of a classic airliner. |

VH-TBK (cn 20950/1081) Rare low res image of TAA B727-276 VH-TBK (Del: October 1974) airborne from Rwy 35 at Canberra Airport on an overcast day in 1983. The aircraft had just been repainted in the new TAA livery, replacing the unique Ochre striped 'Central Australian' livery with Ayer's Rock on the tail fin. Apologies for low quality grainy image taken on AGFA CT21 slide film. |

VH-TBH (cn 20553/991) Rare image of TAA B727-276 VH-TBH taxying beside Rwy 17 at Canberra Airport in 1983. The aircraft is in her original TAA livery, which was then being replaced by the new 'orange/blue stripe' livery. My first flight in a TAA B727-276 was in VH-TBM, from BNE to TSV (1.4 hrs) on 27Jun1977. VH-TBH was Delivered to TAA on 20Nov73 Named 'Freeman Cobb', ex Boeing N1787B. She went to Australian Airlines on 04Aug1986 and was Sold to Memphis Group on 08Jun91 for spare parts. This is my 500th photo on Airliners.net. |

VH-TQR (cn 10440) A relatively new TAA Fokker Friendship on static display (promoting the Airline), during an Open Day at RAAF Point Cook in December 1974. The pilot appears to have his children (and Esky) with him as visitors enter the aircraft cabin to check out the interior. Hopefully the cabin fittings were'nt damaged as happened to TAA's F-27 VH-TFA at Avalon in 1961. This F-27-600QC, Named 'William Hovell', was delivered to TAA ex PH-EXB in July1970, and retired in Mar1988, sold to Canada as C-FBDY. |

VH-TAD (cn 196) Rare view of TAA's new A300B4-203 VH-TAD (Del: 30June1982), at Brisbane Airport in January 1983. The Airbus dwarfs the 'Mini' (in matching TAA colours) on the apron. Photo taken in sunshine before the storm arrived, before a 1.2 hr flight to Sydney. The aircraft, named 'William Light' was in the then new TAA 'Hockey Stick' livery. She was formerly Airbus Industrie F-WZET, First flight 30May1982. Low res photo. |
