Remark
Photographer
F-BJTI (cn 105) Beautiful aircraft, wonderful view, but now history, flying over central Greenland in a Caravelle. 27.000 feet, on route Sondrestromfjord, Greenland to Trondheim, Norway

Untitled (Direction Générale de l'Aviation Civile)
Sud SE-210 Caravelle III
Kangerlussuaq (Sondre Stromfjord) (SFJ / BGSF)
Greenland, May 1979
Remark
Photographer
F-BJTI (cn 105) Picture taken at 11PM, a strange light surrounding the fjord. Ex Air France, she was used as a navaid calibrator, and flying navigation classroom for "Ecole Nationale de l'Aviation Civile" students. The small radome above the forward fuselage is housing a sextant ! Well before GPS !!

Remark
Photographer
F-BJTI (cn 105) Final approach, flaps partially extended, airbrakes full. Very little chance, if any, to see this beautiful wing in action again.

Untitled (Direction Générale de l'Aviation Civile)
Sud SE-210 Caravelle III
In Flight
Greenland, May 1979
Remark
Photographer
F-BJTI (cn 105) Rarely seen, and now probably history, the air intake of a Rolls-Royce Avon 27000 ft above Greenland east coast. Thousands of ice blocks are released from the pack by the spring rising temperatures. Route Sondrestromfjord, Greenland (BGSF) to Trondheim, Norway (ENVA).
