N25CW Convective Sigmet just passed Jeffco now clobbering DEN in this photo... Looks like a bit of mammatus up there and if you look closely you can see part of a rainbow... Just walking around the ramp while my student is out dominating his checkride and proving to the FAA that he is indeed a pilot. |

N2459K Taking advantage of some great lighting while waiting around for my night flight to start. Probably one of the newest 172s around that does not have a G1000 glass cockpit. 2005 model with the Nav II package or as some call it, "the steam gauges". |

N172RA My student Matt doing his first solo! Congrats Matt, you are now a pilot!!! Also my first student to solo in the G1000. Here, he is finding out that the Cessna is a homesick angel when the CFI is on the ground watching. |

N53074 Hold your breath! And if you look out the starboard side of the aircraft you can see the reason as to why Greeley has "that" smell. On our way back from Fort Morgan on a cross country flight... You can also see the South Platte River below. |

N53074 Great cross country flight this morning... Fort Morgan's mighty 5219' x 60' Runway Three Two... Note the lack of taxiways which can require you to back-taxi on the runway depending on wind conditions. Just had the identifier changed from 3V4 to KFMM. |

N822RA In flight over Boulder, Colorado with a nice view of Long's Peak, and I believe the Mummy Range, and some of the Indian Peaks too. Two Romeo Alpha is a 2004 model 172 and takes the registration from a former American Airlines MD-82. |

N5023A Working on touch and goes we are midfield downwind for Jeffco's Runway 11R. The view from the instructors seat provides a good view of Jeffco Airport during construction. You can see taxiway Alpha which is under construction from A5 to Rwy 2/20 which is also closed. Gotta check those notams! |

N5345G (cn 172S9371) Letting my student figure out how to get to Longmont... We are about 5 NM north of the field and still seem to be heading west though. You can see Carter Lake on the right and the beginnings of the Mummy Range on the left as we cross over a little ridge in the foothills. Any second now, we will be heading south, hopefully! |

N2099J This is my trick for helping students learn to look outside the cockpit and fly the plane by developing a feel for it. We are about 4 miles south of Longmont's Vance Brand Airport turning onto the 45 so we can enter the left downwind for runway 29. I am just about ready to point out the high power setting for this descending turn to TPA. You can see the Jeffco ATIS on my sticky there. |

N21685 (cn 172S9654) Platte Valley (just north of DEN) is one of Colorado's great little airports. It has a tight little runway but if you make a stop you might get to see some great WWI airplanes in the hangar and check out their old tower on the left. It looks like someone is building a nice house and some new hangars are going up as well. |

N523AB (cn 172S8307) "Longmont traffic, Cessna Three Alpha Bravo is turning left downwind for Two Niner, Longmont..." Pattern work is looking pretty good! Flying 80 knots at 6000' MSL soon to be pulling the power back and doing a touch and go on runway 29 that you can see out of our window there. Nikon 7900 |
